Current layout

The current layout features Renji from volume 17, during the Byakuya fight. I think Renji looks best when he's all bloodied up (yes, I know I'm sick) and one of his best fights is the one with Byakuya. I think out of all the Renji layouts I've made, almost half uses images from that fight. Heh... Anyway, so this layout uses a monochrome image with nice purple gradient. Renji looks pretty good in purple, ne? My inspiration for this layout is my dear imouto Janice. I've been in a layout slump lately but was in dire need of a Renji layout... so I used her creations as inspiration. Let's just say it worked ^_^ I even used her CSS :D Even the fonts were ripped from her layouts: Century Gothic, Carpenter, and Arial Black.

Past layouts

Version 2 of Bloodred Conflict featured Renji from volume 11. I really liked the smoke around him in that image. That layout took me HOURS to code, mainly due to the weird Javascript scrollbar that seemed cool at the time. I got tired of it too soon.

The first layout featured Renji from Chapter 143. This is Renji in the middle of a fight with Byakuya, who had just defeated Renji's Bankai Release with his own. I used some Photoshop filters and blending modes plus a gradient to create this layout. The pattern used in the background is just a combination of a dotted pattern and slanted lines. Fonts used were Grunted Reaper and Manager Bold. Image credit goes to Manga Rain. Thank you always for such great Bleach scanlations!

The name

The name Bloodred Conflict comes from the title of Chapter 96 (volume 11). This chapter is the climax of the Renji vs Ichigo fight in front of the Senzaikyuu in Soul Society. It's a great fight in which a big part of Renji's hidden personality is revealed. We also get to see how great he looks with his hair down!
